Ksarap! in Daet, Camarines Norte

After our trip to Calaguas Island last month, we went back to Daet city to buy some souvenirs! But of course, me and my friends ate lunch along the way! Our tour guide (Rachel) brought us to KSaraaaaaaap!

Mango Sherbet
I just had to make the mango sherbet the first picture because it was so good! The weather was quite hot when we ate there so this dessert really compensated for the heat. It was similar to eating ice candy that vendors used to sell at the streets. The mango cubes shatters easily when you bite into them. Really tasty and you can actually taste the flavor and aroma of real mangoes in it! This is a must!

Adobong Kangkong
When I first tasted their adobong kangkong, it somehow reflected a sense of home-style cooking. You would feel this in all of their dishes. The taste was simple yet enjoyable at the same time.

Sisig with Mayonnaise
They have 2 versions of sisig. One version was with vinegar and the other one was with mayonnaise. Obviously, fat wins over vinegar. This was still quite ordinary for my taste though.

Fried Tofu
The taste of their fried tofu is similar to the fried tofu of Japanese restaurants in Manila because the texture of the breading and the tofu was familiar to me. Their tofu was really soft and moist. The sauce tasted Japanese as well!

Sinigang
For those of you who like extremely sour-tasting sinigang, go ahead and order their sinigang! It was quite cheap as well (around the 100-150 Php mark). We were really shocked when the waiter brought a BIG pot of sinigang. After they served it, we immediately ordered another one!

Tiramisu Sherbet
The tiramisu sherbet tasted like mocha/coffee ice cream! The texture of the sherbet was great as well! But, I prefer the mango sherbet over this one.

I wasn't able to write down the prices of their dishes but they were really affordable! And I'm sure their homey dishes wouldn't disappoint you. In fact, I think they can even raise their prices a little bit!

Thanks for the pics Jemay!
